  • Fertilisers
  • Road treatment (concrete acceleration, de-icing)
  • Drilling muds
  • Chemical Manufacturing
  • Food manufacturing (cheese & tofu making, electrolyte drinks, brewing beers, kelp drying)
  • Medicine (to offset potassium and magnesium toxicity and side effects of some drugs)
  • Water treatment.
